• January 7, 2015 : As part of the cycle of lectures on "The America and Versailles", Cécile Vidal will give a lecture on "French North America" on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM, in the salle des Colonnes located in the Grandes Ecuries of Versailles.

December 11, 2014: Nicolas Barreyre will take part in a presentation and discussion of the book he co-edited, Historians Across Borders, organized at the University of Copenhagen

• November 3, 2014 at 07:00 PM, Cécile Vidal will participate in a round tablethat will be co-organized by the BPI Beaubourg and the Editions de l'EHESS on "Frenchness, Here and There? Citizenship, Colonies, and Decolonization" around the collective volume she edited: Français ? La nation en débat entre colonies et métropole, XVIe-XIXe siècle (Editions de l'EHESS, 2014).

• October 18, 2014: Emmanuelle Perez-Tisserant will give a talk " Too Lazy to Find El Dorado? A Spatial and Political History of Finding Gold in California" at the annual conference of the Western History Association.

• October 16-17, 2014: Romain Huret will participate at the international syposium on Conservatism organized by the University of Lorraine.

• October 9-12, 2014: Nicolas Barreyre and Thomas Grillot will give two talks at the public history event Les Rendez-Vous de l'Histoire in Blois. N. Barreyre will give one talk on historians and the notion of space (Oct. 9 at 5pm); the other on rebels and the US Civil War (Oct. 11 at 11:30am).

• September 25, 2014: Cécile Vidal and Nicolas Barreyre will present the book they co-edited on writing US history in Europe, Historians Across Borders, at the new seminar on the US organized at Sciences Po.

• September 18, 2014: Alexia Blin will present her research at the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics of the University of Wisconsin, with a paper entitled "The Wisconsin Milk Strikes of 1933, Redefining cooperatives’ role in the economy".

• September 13, 2014: Gilles Havard takes part in the Festival America in Vincennes. He presents the book Un continent en partage (2013).

• June 20, 2014: Emmanuelle Perez will take part in the symposium on Digital Humanities as applied to Atlantic and US history at the University of Paris-Diderot.
• June 17, 2014: Gilles Havard will take part in the International symposium "Making the history of the Indians of the two Americas" (EHESS, avenue de France) which he co-organizes (under Axis 2 of Mondes Americains "Categorisation, identification, mobilization in the Americas ") He discusses the intervention of Michael Witgen," The Rituals of Possession:Native Identity and the Invention of Empire in Western North America ".

• June 13, 2014: Nicolas Barreyre will take part in "The Annales' Debates" on the latest issue of the journal, which he co-edited with Geneviève Verdo, on "Sovereignty and Territory". 5-7pm, National Library, room 70.

• June 7, 2014: Thomas Grillot will present his book Après la Grande Guerre. Comment les Amérindiens des Etats-Unis sont devenus patriotes (1917-1947), along with Gerald Vizenor who will present his new book Blue ravens, at the Orenda Gallery, 54 rue de Verneuil, 75007 Paris, at 5 pm.

• June 3, 2014: Thomas Grillot will participate at a workshop called "The transformations of political representation in India" at EHESS.

• May 15, 2014: Romain Huret will talk on "A Man in the House? Social and Gender Discriminations in the US: The Case Study of the Law 'Man in the House' for American Single Women", in a seminar on gender and working classes at Paris I University.

• May 15, 2014: Thomas Grillot and Nicolas Martin-Breteau will give a talk in the seminar "Race and Medicine" organized by Claude-Olivier Doron et Jean-Paul Lallemand at Paris Diderot University.

• May 15, 2014: on the occasion of the exhibition "Plains Indians" at the Quai Branly Museum, Gilles Havard (with other authors) will present the book Un continent en partage, Cinq siècles de rencontres entre Amérindiens et Français (Indes Savantes, 2013), at 6 pm. Thomas Grillot will present his book Après la Grande Guerre. Comment les Amérindiens des Etats-Unis sont devenus patriotes (1917-1947), at 7:30 pm.

• May 5, 2014: Romain Huret will present his book American Tax Resisters in a seminar at the National Archives, in Washington, D.C.

• May 2014: Manuel Covo is co-winner of the 2013 Ph.D. award of the National Committee for the Memory and History of Slavery.

• April 26, 2014: Gilles Havard will give a talk, "French monarchy and the coureurs de bois (1672-1715) : 'extermination' or légitimation?", at the 60th Annual Meeting of the Society for French Historical Studies, Quebec University, Montréal.

• April 11, 2014: Romain Huret will present his book American Tax Resisters in a seminar on conservatism organized by Marc-Olivier Baruch at EHESS.

• April 10-13, 2014: Nicolas Barreyre will be part of a panel he organized on "Writing American History Across Borders" at the OAH Annual Conference held in Atlanta. Caroline Rolland-Diamond will talk on "Conservative College Students and the Making of a Counterculture in the 1960s and 1970s" in a session called "The Sixties-era Counterculture: Mapping Boundaries and Crossing Divides".

• April 4, 2014: Thomas Grillot will participate at a workshop called "Indian citizenships in the Americas, XIXth-XXIst centuries"organized by Lille III-University.

• March 14, 2014: Gilles Havard, Virginie Adane et Emmanuelle Perez will participate at a Graduate Students workshop called "Writing North American History (1607 - 1865)", organized by REDEHJA at Paris-Est Créteil University. They will talk about "Writing (North American) Ethnohistory in France", "Gender and Mercantile Society in the New Netherlands, 1630-1664", and "Mexico and United States of America: Californios and politization, 1815-1850". Nicolas Barreyre will be chair of the session "North America Colonial and National History". Manuel Covo is one of the coordinators of the workshop.

• March 13-15, 2014: Alexia Blin will participate in the Business History Conference annual meeting in Frankfurt, Germany. Her paper is entitled : "Cooperation: A Virtuous Business Model ? Cooperators in Wisconsin 1870s-1930s".

• March 13, 2014: Gilles Havard will present his book Un continent en partage, cinq siècles de rencontres entre Amérindiens et Français at the Café de la Mairie, Paris.

• March 7-8, 2014: Romain Huret will participate at a workshop organized by the Radcliffe Institute (Harvard University) : "The Petition in North America : Interpretive, Spatial, Statistical and Political Approaches".

• March 7, 2014: Nicolas Barreyre will take part in a roundtable on "History and the Social Sciences on Inequality: About Thomas Piketty's Capital au XXIe siècle" at the EHESS.

• March 6, 2014: Thomas Grillot will give a talk in the seminar "Colonial and Imperial Violences: comparisons and circulations (XIXth-XXth centuries)" at Sciences-Po Paris.

• March 2014: Manuel Covo has been awarded the EHESS Ph.D. Award for his work on "Commerce, Empire and Revolutions in the Atlantic World: The French Colony of Saint-Domingue between France and the United States (ca. 1778 - ca. 1804)."

• February 13, 2014: Nicolas Barreyre will give a talk on "Gold, paper, silver: the political effects of economic transformations in postbellum United States" to the preparatory classes at the Faidherbe HS of Lille.

• January 17, 2014: Romain Huret will talk about "Writing American Democracy through petition making (XVIIIth-XXIth centuries)" in a workshop organized by Mondes Américains.
